Grants 

 

The Sadie Pope Dowdell Public Library and Dowdell Library Foundation aggressively pursue fundraising opportunities to benefit the Library’s operations and special needs. 

On July 6, 2011, The Amboy Foundation awarded a grant to the Dowdell Library Foundation which will be used toward purchasing an online software teaching center for the library.

President of the Dowdell Library Foundation, and Elaine Gaber, Director of the Sadie Pope Dowdell Public Library.


The Library has also won the following grants, among others:
  • Middlesex County Cultural and Heritage Commission History Grants for the years 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 
  • American Library Association for 2006, 2008, 2009 
  • Gates Foundation for 2010-13
  • Infolink for 2006, 2010
  • NJ Library Association for 2008, 209, 2010
